Yesterday I covered one of my DREAM routes in India, 'National Expressway 1' or popularly known as 'Ahmedabad-Vadodra Expressway'.
The butter smooth highway was an amazing experience. I was driving a Tata Grande MK II and I was only wishing to have another Car with a good top-end, 140 seemed so low on the speedo that at times I was literally standing on the accelerator if I could gain little more.
Thanks for the click Vishal...
P.S. Wanted to enjoy the drive so photographs are not many.

Golden Temple: Amritsar
Amritsar, which means 'Pool of Immortality' is the spiritual center of Sikh Religion because of 'Harmandir Sahib' or 'Golden Temple' which attracts more than 100,000 visitors per day.
Finally, being there for the 5th time and I was lucky enough to made it to Golden Temple. Thanks to all my official works earlier. During my first two visits I never knew that 'Gurdwara Sahib' remains open 24 hours a day. But let me inform you that the main sanctum remains closed from around 11.30 PM to 4.00 AM. But the Palki Yatra is something to watch.
This time I entered Golden Temple at around 9.45 PM and was there for more than two hours and got stunned by the feeling there and the peace of mind that I received in return.
Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru, Wahe Guru

UPDATE
Hi People,
A small update from my end.
A JOURNEY THROUGH INDIA: NANO SUPERDRIVE
20 States, 36 Cities, 15000 kilometers in 9 Cars and an extended journey for 26 days, Is not it exciting!!! And I do need to mention that the 9 Cars on the rally are no other than Tata’s common people’s dream set of wheels ‘ NANO ’.
Tata Motors much awaited ‘Sanand’ plant started delivering this vehicle from 2nd June onwards with the presence of Honorable Gujurat Chief-minister Shri Narendra Modi and MD of Tata Motors Mr. Ratan Tata. On this very occasion they also flagged off a journey through India - ‘Nano Super drive’.
‘Nano Super drive’ the first ever initiative taken by any Indian car manufacture, it will cover 15000 kilometers divided in 3 routes and 3 cars in each route representing the Tri-color of our National Flag leaving it’s bold foot print all around the Nation.
And I'm one among the three 'Official Blogger' for this event and allotted 'SAFFRON ROUTE' (West to North and back). Follow me HERE on this 4000+ kilometers of road-trip as I'm covering the whole event for 26 days by photographs, videos and trip logs starting from 2nd June till 28th June 2010.
Hope you people will travel and enjoy with me through my Photographs and Blogs.
Thanks
Deb

High resolution HERE.
Lamayuru, one of the famous monasteries in the Ladakh region on Srinagar-Leh highway.
This photograph was captured during my last year Leh Yatra.
P.S. Sorry for putting it up so late. Life was unexpectedly busy these days.
