On World Photography Day...

Sunday went all good again and to utter surprise it was the 3rd consecutive one on which I was not at all working, though had a tiny business meeting in late evening. It was over coffee and in casuals, so no complaints. The 'World Photography Day' is today, i.e, Monday and few scheduled meetings... means no complete camera bag and less chance of shooting something interesting (but should carry the camera, may be few portraits of clients :D). But Sunday I had a good time with a dear friend Saurabh, seeing few parts of the city very casually and holding the beloved camera affectionately :)

Found these guys, 3 brothers, making the composition of some Arabic Rap on the ruins of 'Bada Gumbad Masjid' and were making my frame complete with an superb blend of Contemporary and  History. A humble sign-language request and I got this frame. Had few words with them later and so the earlier mentioned information. Thanks again guys...

How different is it with other similar historic cities in Rajasthan!! Any clue! It is the stone used as building material, it is unique and is a local material... the 'Yellow Lime Stone'.

Qawwali at Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah

If you are a Delhite and know a little bit of Sufi, then you must have been to the place. Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah gives an absolute different feeling on Thursday evenings with live Qawwali.
Today I did visit the place after ages and got some old memories refreshed :)

Rewind...

Another generic Sunday it almost was as I was watching the setting Sun though the study room window, the phone rang... With-in 15 odd minutes, I was seated pillion on a bike with my helmet on and a back-pack with my favorite lens in it.
Few quick shots before it gets dark, and I did wear the riding gloves. I was riding a bike after long. 5 seconds of uneasiness and I was in full control of the throttle. Few overtakes on DND Expressway before hitting the ton mark and at 113 kmph it was like an achievement. And soon entering to city limits and weaving through city traffic on usual Delhi roads after ages was like getting the wings back again... Damn, I need to grab a bike soon :|

Travel: Bada Bagh, Jaisalmer

In the outskirts of Jaisalmer (around 6 kms away towards Lodurva) 'Bada Bagh' is a royal garden containing cenotaphs of Maharajas of Jaisalmer state.
