Snow Updates
Some more snow updates.... Could not manage to get my kind of photographs as I was traveling, still few shots from the station and while traveling.
I was expecting a gray and gloomy weather when winter hits but the Blue Sunny Sky above and the white blanket on mother Earth was just stunning... I would go crazy if was in a country side...
And it's not snowing since last two days but the temperature is not rising above zero, and 'm yet to see my University and all the frozen lakes there...

The First 'SNOW'
Finally as per weather forecast it snowed here in Nottingham and it is quite early this year. If I remember correctly it snowed here during the second week of December.
So it is the official announcement of WINTER to show it's presence.
Being a super-lazy person, it took me around 1 hour to take my cam out and go shooting at 4.30 am in the morning but sad that by that time snowfall stopped :(

TopGear
STIG...
I so much wanna hit the ROAD.... hopefully soon during December.
Some addition to the post for people who don't know about STIG:
If you ever seen the TV show 'Top Gear' by BBC then you must know about 'STIG'. He is the mysterious 'Top Gear' driver... The character was having a full masked black crash helmet and complete black racing suit during the start of the show but after his death during the third season the new avatar came with complete WHITE outfit and having a black visor on his helmet. It is still a mystery that who plays this character and what is his identity! In an episode BBC reviled the mask and it was 'Schumacher' behind the suit...

The First LAYER of ICE
Today morning we got to see a proper white layer covered on the grass outside our school. Yes, the frozen drops of dew... Though we already have seen this earlier 2 weeks before on top of cars once, but it was the proper topping this time. And even I found thin layer of slippery ice on pathways, which we used to call 'Black Ice' on tarmac roads.
It was freezing cold outside yesterday and it seemed that blood is about to change it's form to solid and you will be converted to a snowman. So finally winter is here and temperature already has started torturing us with it's sub-zero marks...
Wish me a Emotionless FREEZING winter... :)

London Blues
Visited London last month for a field trip and had a good time there. Student Life is just dominating over everything and restricting from all the regular blogging and photographic rituals. So I hope my regular readers will bear with me following small small posts like this :P
Tower Bridge...
St. Paul Cathedral...
The City Hall...
The SKYLINE...
As I mentioned, it was a field trip, so most of the frames I captured are mostly related to Architecture... But I hope to be there in the City again soon and to FRAME it the way I want. Hope you will wait for the update.
Cheers.

The first wave of 'Winter'
WINTER is almost here and is knocking at the door...
If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant:
if we did not sometimes taste of adversity,
prosperity would not be so welcome.

Biker by Choice
I was wondering since many days that what 'm I missing the most!!! After banging my head after a long time I got myself an answer..... BIKES
This image was shot during first grand meet of 'Bhubaneswar Bikers' and it was a real pleasure to eyes to see the thing that I once dreamed during 2002. BBC (Bhubaneswar Bikers Club) never came out in reality during my whole stay in Orissa but I returned with a big grin from the meet when I was there in Bhubaneswar recently and I was quite happy to see the growth of Biker Breed in my hometown.
Ride SAFE, Ride HARD....

FALL is History now...
I'm just making a pout while writing this post. Its raining here since morning and also totally wind. Went walking to the school today enjoying(read resisting) the RAIN without an umbrella, thanks to the memory card in my mind as I left it at one of friends place. Really need an 'Extreme III' :(
While returning on my way back at around 6.00, it seems that I was going to be frozen and people will rescue me by breaking me out of a ICE cube. Did I tell you that after Halloween the daylight disappears at around 4.30 PM!!! Hopefully not, anyways.
FALL was really beautiful and I enjoyed the nature he MOST. These kind of weather is really going to be dream for next 3-4 months.
Captured this Photograph someday back on my way back to home and it's near my accommodation. Don't miss the RED buildings where I stay :P

My Diwali Gift
FRIENDSHIP is always special. Now don’t make a face as if you never experienced it!
This Diwali two of my very good friends made me feel super pampered here in the foreign land with their too special Diwali Gifts. It's not about the gifts but about how people do care for you! And it always feels special when people try to know you better in a very short while. It was a real surprise to get a 'Lens Pen' from Khyati and a box of 'Dark Chocolates' from Manveen. I was truly spellbound for sometime seeing the LensPen. I'm happy like a kid to get things which really are my favorite. Good people never take time to be one among the bestest friends in a very little span.
Thanks a lot Manveen Kaur and Khyati Kohli, for all your love and caring. I will cherish our friendship throughout ma life. Thanks again :)

Udaipur: City Palace
This marvelous piece of Architecture built in 16th century is the largest Palace Complex in Rajasthan. And it is situated near Pichola Lake(which is almost dry now a days) and on a hilltop with a spectacular view of the whole Udaipur city.
The structure built by Maharaja Udai Singh and later many additions by his successors is a rare combination of Medieval and European Architecture. A chunk of the palace is still being used by the 'Royal Family'.
The most part of the Palace now serves as museums. Crystal gallery is one of the main attractions, while there are many other things to see like, Mewar Paintings, Ancient Weapons, Sculptures, Antique Furnitures and as well as Royal Riviera-A Royal Cafe.
The massive Entrance Gate...
Lake PICHOLA...
A Panorama of inside Courtyard...
If you have a pinch of interest in Fort/Architecture and you have never visited Rajasthan/a Fort before, then this is a MUST. And not to mention, it is really massive and you need 1/2 of a day to visit.
Complete Photo Album HERE.

Happy DIWALI
Wish you all a very happy DIWALI and a great year ahead.
DIWALI: Diwali or Deepavali is the festival of light or festival of joy celebrated all over India with great happiness during the month of October/November. According to mythology, this is the celebration of joy as Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya after his 14 years of exile, from the epics of Ramayana. Another important ritual is to seek the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi, the Goddess of wealth. This festival is never complete without Lighting diyas(candles), Fireworks and exchange of gifts.
PS: I'm just missing the fun of the festive season and India.

November 2010 Calender
This particular image was shot somewhere on Srinagar-Leh Highway during my Leh Voyage in 2009, a journey of a life time. Leh, the capital of Ladakh region is connected by road basically in two ways, one from Manali in Himanchal Pradesh and the other from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. The Srinagar-Leh route is one among the top TEN scenic routes in India and provides a variety of vivid as well as extreme landscapes. Some barren tall mountains similar to this really looks scary at times.
In the year 2009, Government was trying to make butter smooth roads on this stretch and I wish it must be over by now. But I can bet, it will not be of the same adventure to ride on a smooth tarmac.
