Speed Cameras in Bhubaneswar, Odisha
The good strange thing I noticed this time in Bhubaneswar is, there are speed sensors and cameras installed at few places. These show the approaching vehicle's actual time speed and there are cameras set to get the snap shot of the rear licence plate of the vehicle. Seems like the effect of smart-city. This particular one in the picture has been installed on NH-5, between Vanivihar Square and Rasulgarh Square. Also did notice one in-front of Capital Hospital, the road approaching Biju Patnaik International Airport. Though I am not sure if these are being used for sending tickets for over-speeding, but it is for sure that it is creating some awareness and some sort of fear among the speed crazy people.

The Temple Kitchen
The 13th century 'Ananta Basudeva Temple' is considered as only Bishnu Temple in the city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is believed that Lord Vishnu established himself as the doorkeeper of the city by the order of Lord Shiva. The food prepared in this temple kitchen is considered as 'holy food' and is called 'Maha Prasad'.
The food is cooked on these earthy pots on wood fire directly with all ingredients mixed precisely. The prasad is truly divine in taste and a must try if you are in Bhubaneswar.

Bhubaneswar: Morning Vegetable Market
Today morning, while being in Bhubaneswar, randomly I decided to capture the Sun rise in a temple premise. On my way back, I found this street vegetable market and could not resist to take the camera out again and captured the freshness of life here in this beautiful city, most importantly the warm of people around. Had such a good time interacting with vegetable sellers, seeing all the fresh vegetables, knowing the name of some leaf vegetables, exchanging smiles with buyers and these beautiful photographs during the process... my day is made. For quite sometime I was away from here (3 years really :O), but now I am back and should show you more such glimpses regularly. Have a great day :)

A heart that belongs to Hills...
One of those nights when you leave behind your very own city, on way back to home from a tiring day at work, without any prior sign of travel schedule and land somewhere up in the hills as the day breaks... This is what life used to be some half a decade back, and now, it feels so good to be back to life, to be back to hills unexpected..... Yes, I have a heart that belong to Hills :)
That grin on the face climbing up and down on those curves are going to last till next time :)

Travel: Tübingen, Germany
During my recent trip to Germany, a friend suggested to visit this small but beautiful University town, Tübingen. 30 kms down South of Stuttgart and on the banks of the Neckar river, this town was just perpect for me to spend a nice sunny day. So many things were just perfect for this little town to explore, walkable, less tourist, vibrant, cozy, beautiful colors everywhere, yummy black forest cakes and fantastic potato wedges in weekly market.

Travel: Uig, Isle of Skye
From the recent trip to Scottish Highlands, the one sleepy place I really liked is Uig in Isle of Skye. Uig is another harbor town and connects to Tarbert in Isle of Harris with ferry.
'Uig Pier' as seen from 'The Cowshed'
'The Fairy Glen'
Uig behind... from ferry, on the way to Tarbert.
Places to Stay: Uig has some really good options to stay at. Uig Hotel, The CowShed and there are few B&Bs can be seen and found. We had a booking for two beds in 'The Cowshed', it is a boutique bunkhouse looking at the Uig Pier. Really a beautiful place to stay at and enjoy. But they don't serve food, so get food along. It is a good place for a bunch of bachelors to party and enjoy.
Address: The Cowshed Boutique Bunkhouse, Uig, Isle of Skye, IV51 9YD
